Preparing for Your NeuroStructural Chiropractic Examination
What Do I Need to Do Before My NeuroStructural Chiropractic Examination?
If you’re looking for a chiropractor in Bel Air, MD, your first step at Premier Chiropractic is a complimentary, no-pressure consultation. During this visit, we’ll discuss your health concerns, answer your questions, explain our unique NeuroStructural Chiropractic approach, and determine whether a NeuroStructural Chiropractic Examination is appropriate for your situation.
If you feel comfortable moving forward and we determine that you are a candidate for our approach, we will either perform or schedule your NeuroStructural Chiropractic Examination at a convenient time.
What Should I Expect During My Chiropractic Examination?
Your examination is thorough and typically takes 30–45 minutes, depending on your individual health history and circumstances.
Your NeuroStructural Chiropractic Examination may include:
- A complete set of structural radiographs (when clinically appropriate)
- Digital structural analysis
- Orthopedic testing
- Neurological testing
- A detailed evaluation designed to identify the presence and severity of a Structural Shift
Rather than focusing solely on where you may be experiencing pain, this examination is specifically designed to determine whether a Structural Shift is affecting your nervous system and overall function.
What Should I Wear to My Chiropractic Examination?
To allow for the most accurate assessment, please come prepared with:
- Athletic shorts
- Women should also bring a sports bra or a tank top for the structural evaluation
Wearing the appropriate clothing helps us perform the examination as accurately and comfortably as possible.
What Happens After My Chiropractic Examination?
After your examination, you’ll return for your Patient Recommendation Conference.
During this visit, we will:
- Review your examination findings and any imaging performed.
- Explain how your results compare with normal structural alignment.
- Discuss whether a Structural Shift is present.
- Answer any questions you may have.
- Explain our recommended plan of care if you are a candidate for NeuroStructural Chiropractic care.
Our goal is to ensure you fully understand your examination results, our recommendations, and your available options before making any decisions about care. We believe patients make the best healthcare decisions when they are well informed and never pressured.
If you’re looking for a Bel Air chiropractor and have additional questions before scheduling your first visit, we encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation. We look forward to meeting you and helping you determine whether NeuroStructural Chiropractic care is right for you.
